CZECH REPUBLIC
The Czech Republic is an extremely well-established market situated
in the middle of Europe. Whilst The Czech Republic
is now a member of the EU, its government has waived EU working visa
restrictions which exist in most Western European countries. This means
that non-EU passport holders can legally work and live in Czech without
an EU passport (or a degree), providing the opportunity to enjoy the
beauty of this region and to also have the European experience!
The Czech Republic is a diverse country, and its capital Prague is
often referred to as one of the most beautiful
cities in Europe. Prague has beautiful architecture, amazing museums,
and great classical and modern music on offer. Czech Republic is also
renowned for its beer and the many beer drinking opportunities in its
excellent pubs.
Once you get out of the city (and if you can drag yourself
away from the cheap beer in the pubs!) you'll find opportunities for
hiking in the beautiful mountains, or skiing if the season is right!
Czech's central location also allows for easy travel opportunities to
other parts of Europe. The cost of living in
Czech is also generally quite cheap, making it an extra-appealing destination
choice.
It is commonly perceived by most Czechs that being able to speak English makes one closer to the western world, and therefore raises one's chances of being able to succeed in it economically. As the economic transformation of this country continues, more and more Czechs will need to learn to speak English in order to get by in the international business world. In order to be competitive, Czech businesses must have employees who can speak English. For all of these reasons English teaching jobs are now being regularly advertised for positions in both the government run schools as well as the private sector.
